Hawking hawks for stupid astronauts

In a rousing speech, Stephen Hawking suggests that we put idiots in space. He likens the search for extraterrestrial life to Columbus' discovery of America. Did Hawking forget that the reason no one else had sailed around the world is that the world is too big? Did Hawking forget that Columbus disagreed with every other explorer? Did Hawking forget that Columbus died never knowing that he discovered America?

Indeed, Columbus thought he was in Indonesia. Thus starting the long running confusion of Indian vs. Native American.

What's next? Putting Al Gore in charge of the environment? Oh, wait. Nevermind.

Read more about Hawking's speech at BBC News.

Danica Patrick Wins!

Why on Earth anyone wants to race, I have no idea. But congratulations to Danica Patrick for her first win in the Indy circuit.

I have no idea why racing would be segregated. There seems to be absolutely no advantage to either sex.

Watch out for spitting Lama

Universalism strikes again! The exiled Dalai Lama says all religions can bring inner peace.

Sharon Drews, a Catholic and a lawyer, drove from Elkhart, Ind., with her mother to attend the Saturday morning teaching session, and said afterward that she appreciated the Dalai Lama's message.

"The most valuable thing for me was that he said there are so many (religious) traditions leading to the same self-improvement, but we need to allow people to follow the tradition that's most effective for them," said Drews, 42. (Read more at ap.google.com)

This is a prime example of Satan's Universalism Movement. Tricking people into thinking that all religions are the same and have the same goals keeps people from finding and following God.

God loved the people of the world so much that He sent His Son to die an agonizing death on the cross. He asks one thing in return. If you accept Jesus Christ, God's Son, as your eternal savior, you will receive everlasting life.

Do not follow the Deceivers that Satan has placed among us. Do not be fooled by Political Correctness and Universalism.

Scientists Extract Proteins from 68-Million-Year-Old Tyrannosaurus

Hmm. Let's read on.

"As far as the hypothesis that protein would not survive more than a million years," he notes, "we have obviously proven that to be false." from Playfuls.com
I have a question. When two assumptions are proven impossible to coexist, which one is the incorrect assumption?

Could it be that scientists are correct that proteins can't survive a long period of time before breaking down? My money is on that.

Global Warming for Profit

A good read: Trading Hot Air? by Steven Milloy

Shame on Speaker Pelosi and Morgan Stanley. Evidently we have big business running things again.

Dead in the Water???

Here we go again. Stories are springing up everywhere about "Global Warming" zapping the ice caps. (See, MSNBC: Arctic summer could be ice-free by 2040)

I have yet to see any story give us data to support this. What fact's are in the stories? Researchers (what researchers, how many) have written a computer model that predicts based on current greenhouse gases acceleration.

How accurate is their computer model? Well, evidently, not enough. Facts (see Junk Science from the Link section of this web site) indicate that the temperature is fluctuating but not rising. Facts are that so-called greenhouse gases attribute less than 0.01° C. Currently as I write this blog, by the way, the global mean temperature 10.26° C. And for those of you who would argue that we're almost to winter, I'll remind you that the Southern hemisphere is almost to summer.

What could be the reason for such misinformation? Money.

Without misleading findings, these "scientists" wouldn't be able to receive funding to look for more "problems" to fix.

Without misleading findings, big companies that will remain nameless in this article can't sell equipment creating to fix the "problems".

Who lobbies Congress for regulations and studies? Environmental groups? Sure. But Big Business spends by far the most money lobbying for measures and contributing to the environmental non-profits. These companies have a product to sell. Environmentalists and the Media are buying right in and passing along their message.
