Dead in the Water???

Here we go again. Stories are springing up everywhere about "Global Warming" zapping the ice caps. (See, MSNBC: Arctic summer could be ice-free by 2040)

I have yet to see any story give us data to support this. What fact's are in the stories? Researchers (what researchers, how many) have written a computer model that predicts based on current greenhouse gases acceleration.

How accurate is their computer model? Well, evidently, not enough. Facts (see Junk Science from the Link section of this web site) indicate that the temperature is fluctuating but not rising. Facts are that so-called greenhouse gases attribute less than 0.01° C. Currently as I write this blog, by the way, the global mean temperature 10.26° C. And for those of you who would argue that we're almost to winter, I'll remind you that the Southern hemisphere is almost to summer.

What could be the reason for such misinformation? Money.

Without misleading findings, these "scientists" wouldn't be able to receive funding to look for more "problems" to fix.

Without misleading findings, big companies that will remain nameless in this article can't sell equipment creating to fix the "problems".

Who lobbies Congress for regulations and studies? Environmental groups? Sure. But Big Business spends by far the most money lobbying for measures and contributing to the environmental non-profits. These companies have a product to sell. Environmentalists and the Media are buying right in and passing along their message.
